As coaches we're blessed with the opportunity to work with young athletes who share our love for soccer.  There are times, however, when life teaches us lessons far more important than the game.  Lessons about courage in the face of difficult situations.  And about the importance of life itself.

In November of 2007, Lily Preston - a player on coach Bobby Tatum's then U8 soccer team - received news that she had a brain tumor.  Since that time she has been challenged by  months of surgeries and radiation treatments.  Through it all
she has inspired her family, friends, coaches and teammates with her courage.  With her strength, her smile, and her unwavering love of soccer. 

 Lily's friends at Jabali Futbol are working to help her family meet the tremendous financial burden that has been created by Lily's condition.  We'd like to ask for your help too.  Getting involved is easy - just check the Lend a Hand section below.  And please keep Lily and her family in your
